Terms of Use
Last updated November 3, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Futavel about using Futavel. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them.
What Futavel is, and what it isn’t
Futavel is a tool for running a restaurant: schedules, a time clock, tasks, inventory, recipes, messages and money reports. It is for business use. It is not a point-of-sale system, a payroll service, an accountant or a lawyer, and nothing in it is legal, tax, food safety or employment advice.
Who can use Futavel
Futavel is for restaurants and their staff. The owner must be at least 18 and able to agree to these terms for their business. The app asks for your date of birth right after you first sign in on a device.
Owners and managers are responsible for the logins they create for their team, and everyone is responsible for keeping their password private.
Only make logins for team members who are at least 13 (or 16 where the law requires) and old enough to work for you under the laws where you are.
Subscription, free trial and taxes
New subscriptions start with a free 7-day trial. You give a payment method when you start it, and unless you cancel before the trial ends, it is charged automatically when the trial ends. After that, the plan you choose, $49.99 a month or $499.99 a year on our website, or $64.99 a month or $599.99 a year in the iPhone, iPad and Android apps, plus applicable sales tax, renews automatically and is charged at the start of each month or year until you cancel. A renewed subscription that had ended doesn’t get a second free trial.
Each location after your first adds $35 a month, plus applicable sales tax, as its own subscription with no free trial, until you remove it or cancel it. Adding more to an extra-locations subscription you already have on the website charges your card on file right away for what’s left of the month. Your locations are covered oldest first; one past what’s paid for pauses for its team until it’s paid for or another is removed. On the website, removing a location lowers your next bill. In the app stores, removing a location doesn’t change what you pay until you change that subscription.
Sales tax is added where the law requires it, based on your billing address, and shown before you pay.
On the website you pay through Stripe, our payment processor. In the iPhone and iPad app, payment is charged to your Apple Account; in the Android app, to your Google Play account. Prices can differ depending on where you subscribe. Your subscription works with the same account wherever you use Futavel.
Cancel anytime. On the website, cancel in Settings → Subscription → Manage or cancel, or email us and we will cancel it for you. For the App Store or Google Play, cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period in your store account settings. Either way you keep access until the end of the free trial or the time already paid for, and nothing more is charged.
When a subscription ends, Futavel pauses for your whole team until you renew. Your restaurant’s information is kept, and the owner can still delete the account.
Payments already made are not refunded except where the law requires. Purchases through Apple or Google are refunded under their policies. We will tell you before any price change, and it applies from your next renewal.
Your content
You own the information and photos you add. You let us store and show them only to run Futavel for you and your team.
Only add content you have the right to use.
Copyright complaints (DMCA)
We respect copyright and respond to notices under the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act. If you believe something in Futavel infringes your copyright, send a written notice to support@futavel.com.
Your notice must include: (1) your physical or electronic signature; (2) the copyrighted work you say is infringed; (3) the material you say is infringing, with enough detail for us to find it; (4) your name, address, phone number and email; (5) a statement that you believe in good faith that the use isn’t authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law; and (6) a statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act for them.
When we receive a valid notice, we remove or disable the material and let the person who added it know. If you believe your material was removed by mistake or misidentification, you can send our agent a counter-notice with: your physical or electronic signature; the material removed and where it was; a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith it was removed by mistake or misidentification; your name, address and phone number; and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, outside the United States, any judicial district where we may be found) and will accept service of process from the person who sent the notice. We may then restore the material in 10 to 14 business days, unless the person who sent the notice tells us they have filed a court action.
We end, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of people who repeatedly infringe. Knowingly misrepresenting that material infringes, or was removed by mistake, can make you liable for damages.
Your responsibilities
Futavel helps you organize your restaurant. You remain responsible for your business, including following labor and scheduling laws, food safety rules, allergen information in your recipes and menu, and how you manage your staff.
If you turn on the clock-in location check, tell your staff before they use it, and get their consent where the law requires it.
You, not Futavel, are the employer of your team. You decide who works when and what they are paid, and you are responsible for paying them correctly, whatever Futavel shows.
Messages are for work. Futavel is not an emergency service: in an emergency, call your local emergency number. A message may not ring or arrive while a phone is off, offline or has Futavel closed.
Labor costs
Labor costs are estimates from your schedule or time clock and the pay rates you enter. They leave out overtime, payroll taxes, benefits and tips, and are not payroll or tax records.
Financials are estimates from the numbers you enter or bring in, your hours and your pay rates. Net pay uses a percent you set. They are not accounting, payroll or tax records, so check them against your own before relying on them.
Acceptable use
Do not use Futavel for anything illegal, to harass anyone, to break its security, or to copy or reverse engineer it.
Changes and availability
We may add, change or remove features. We work to keep Futavel available but cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free.
Ending your use
You can stop using Futavel at any time and delete your account in Settings. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.
Disclaimers and limits
TO THE EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, FUTAVEL IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DON’T PROMISE ANY PARTICULAR RESULT FOR YOUR BUSINESS.
TO THE EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL LOSSES SUCH AS LOST PROFITS OR LOST DATA, AND OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM IS LIMITED TO WHAT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM. Some places don’t allow some of these limits, so they may not all apply to you.
Any comparisons on our website are general, describe kinds of products rather than any one company, and were true as far as we know when written. Products change, so check for yourself before deciding.
If there’s a claim against us because of your business
To the extent the law allows, if someone brings a claim against us because of how you run your business, how you treat your staff, or what you put in Futavel, you will cover our reasonable costs and any amount we have to pay because of it. This doesn’t apply to the extent the claim comes from our own breach of these terms.
Settling disagreements
Talk to us first. Before starting any formal claim, email support@futavel.com with what happened and what you want, and give us 30 days to try to work it out.
If we can’t, any claim about Futavel or these terms will be settled by binding individual arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, instead of in court. Either of us can still bring an individual claim in small claims court, or ask a court to stop someone misusing intellectual property.
YOU AND WE EACH GIVE UP THE RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL AND TO TAKE PART IN A CLASS ACTION. Claims can only be brought individually, not on behalf of a group.
You can opt out of this arbitration section within 30 days of first agreeing to these terms by emailing support@futavel.com with your name and account email. If any part of this section can’t be enforced for a claim, that claim goes to court, and the rest of the section still applies.
App stores and trademarks
If you got Futavel from the App Store, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies, and Apple is not responsible for the app or its support. If you got it from Google Play, Google Play’s terms also apply.
Futavel is an independent product and is not made, sponsored or endorsed by Apple or Google. Apple, Apple Pay, Face ID, Touch ID, iPhone, iPad and App Store are trademarks of Apple Inc., registered in the U.S. and other countries and regions. Google and Google Play are trademarks of Google LLC.
Law, changes and contact
If we change these terms in an important way, we will tell you in the app or by email before the change applies. If part of these terms can’t be enforced, the rest still applies. These terms are the whole agreement between us about Futavel. You can’t transfer them without our agreement; we can if we sell or reorganize the business.
